Castleberry Instruments & Avionics introduces a new FAAA certified back-up attitude indicator, Model number 300-14EL with Inclinometer. This instrument is an approved substitute of standard rate of turn gyros in part 23 Aircraft operating in part 91 and less than 12,500 pounds.

 

 This unit may be installed in the same panel location as the turn and bank, freeing up crowded panel space. It has an inclinometer for use in standard rate turns and a failure warning flag to indicate loss of gyro RPM's. When used together with the Castleberry Emergency Power Unit, Model EPU 28-24RM, this instrument provides the pilot with a welcome margin of insurance in the case of aircraft power failure.

 

It features an electric gyro with electronics designed to extend rotor life and monitoring circuitry for gyro validity…exceptional features for such a low price. It is available for 14 or 28 VDC aircraft and its small size allows installation in the same space as the air driven models. Recent product improvements to ruggedize the erection system allow this unit to now meet the vibration requirements for helicopter use.
