TGH Aviation provides overhaul and exchange services for all types of Vertical Speed Indicators (VSI) also known as Rate of Climb Indicators including Standard Pneumatic Vertical Speed and Instantaneous Vertical Speed Indicators (IVSI).

TGH supports all of the major vertical speed manufacturers including:

• United Instruments Vertical Speed Indicators
• Kollsman Vertical Speed Indicators, and others.

TGH services all Rate of Climb ranges. All vertical speeds are zero-time overhauled in accordance with the manufacturer’s FAA approved technical data. All units are provided with FAA Form 8130 certification.

Rate of Climb overhaul service includes complete disassembly, cleaning and inspection of all component parts. TGH will contact you and advise you of the condition of your VSI and the exact costs of repair immediately after the initial inspection of the vertical speed. Also included is the replacement of all standard overhaul parts as defined in the maintenance data. In the event that your unit requires more than standard overhaul parts TGH will contact you and advise you before incurring additional expenses. The VSI is then reassembled and calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer’s FAA approved maintenance data. Final testing of the vertical speed is accomplished utilizing test equipment that is certified to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) specifications.

TGH provides a one year limited warranty on all VSI overhauls.
